Doug Woodward

Doug is a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel with 22 years active duty experience as an intelligence and international relations specialist.  As a squadron commander and director of operations, he has led teams of more than 500 personnel operating $700 million in equipment conducting global operations.  He has served as an executive and staff officer at multiple levels, responsible for all aspects of operations, personnel, budget, training, and leadership development.

As a trainer on the Joint Staff Directorate of Force Development, Doug has advised and trained hundreds of senior leaders across dozens of organizations worldwide in strategic leadership, organizational communication, and staff integration for large-scale operations.  Doug specializes in knowledge management, information flow, and staff synchronization to ensure organizations operate as teams, that when guided by a strong sense of purpose, are empowered to provide decision-quality information to leaders and act with disciplined agility.

Born and raised in Oklahoma, Doug completed his undergraduate work at Oklahoma State University.  While in the Air Force, Doug earned a Master of Arts in International Security from Georgetown University and a Master of Science in Strategic Studies from the University of Madras, India.

Doug currently lives in Virginia and loves spending time in the outdoors with his amazing son and daughter, whether camping, hiking, swimming, surfing, sailing, or scuba diving.  Doug is also an assistant little league baseball and softball coach and Scout leader.
